Here Comes Spring (And Good News With It)!!

D'altronde, cos'altro poteva trovare e scegliere un chiacchierone come me? ;);)

A presto!! :)

-----------------

Let's begin with a short introduction: this was not the kind of Easter I'm used to, regarding especially the amount of food eaten. Yes, you got it right: this year, no feast and eating as if there's no tomorrow. Nevertheless, the food was delicious and this is what really matters together with being surrounded by great people such as (part of) my family :).

Since I wasn't in the mood for anything tiring or laborious -and considering it's been almost a month since I last posted something (the extraordinary review of The Oscar Night, for those of you who still haven't read it)- I thought writing a short post was the best thing to do.

A few days ago, Spring finally made her appearance. As everyone knows, Spring is the season in which everything comes back to life. A sort of rebirth after Autumn and Winter, and I love it so much.
Even though, to be honest, I don't have a favorite season: each one of them gives me something unique and magical to appreciate.

Of course, as just mentioned, this collective rebirth includes, above all, Nature. In these days you can see flowers blossoming almost everywhere and the trees covered with beautiful colours. Also, days get longer and the sun starts shining more regularly.

This made the trip to Uni a lot easier ;-)

And I must say I've been blessed with some of these "gifts": new energy and a big deal of positivity (needed this one way too much) reached me. This proves how I've been able to deal with Uni workload quite (and surprisingly) well lately. For now, at least.

But I'm sure a great deal of this optimism came from what happened a few days ago. I finally got some really great news: I have a supervisor for my thesis!!! I can assure after receiving that long-awaited mail I was bobbing on my chair and I went on dancing euphorically for quite some time :). Seriously, I was really stressed because of the lack of news in that sense. Now I can finally cross out this from my to-do list and focus on other not less important things.

And, last but not least, I found also the book to translate!!! Amazing!! The title is "Saber Hablar", which basically means this is a book about the art of conversation. Hey, did you really expect something different from a first class chatterbox like me?! ;-)

The more I'm going on with the reading, the more I'm falling in love with this book: it's something really interesting that I'm sure will teach me a lot. Translating it is going to be quite challenging, but, all things considered, I believe I'm really going to enjoy it a great deal :-).

And that's all for now! But I cannot leave without wishing everyone a Happy Easter (despite not knowing when this is coming out haha. In case it's after Easter, I hope you all had a lovely day :-) )!

See you soon!!

And The Oscar Goes To...

Capitolo miglior film: spietata lotta a 3 secondo i pronostici.

And the Oscar goes to…. ;)

--------------
Here I am again!

Since I'm really keen on cinema, I thought writing something about The Oscars Night would be great, considering also what happened in this 88th edition. Unfortunately, I've never been a talented reviewer, that's why I asked my friend Alessio (a.k.a Cibi) to jot down a couple of lines for me. Not only is he another cinema lover, but he's also a gifted writer (I still don't know why the hell he's studying medicine, bah…) and he immediately accepted. What follows this short introduction is his work, I only translated it into English -or at least, I tried, since I'm sure I wasn't able to imitate his unique style. Apologies for that, foreign readers!!

But now it's time for me to leave the stage. I hope you'll enjoy the post because, as I said before, his style is quite unique and extremely engaging.

Anyway, let's cut to the chase and begin!

<< So, let's have a quick chat about the wonderful Night of The Stars -maybe not so quick, since this year my friend Jacopo gave me this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to collaborate with him and be part of his famous blog: basically, he's going to translate the crappy stuff I write as comment regarding this extraordinary event, so I'm fully allowed to be as detailed as possible, just to make his task more difficult ;).

Of course, I can but begin with the Red Carpet. The arrival and the entrance of Hollywood most famous faces into the Dolby Theatre, where the real ceremony takes place, has to be appreciated mainly for its aesthetically value, besides for being the last "warm-up" before the real show begins. Here you can enjoy your favourite characters' interviews cheering for them while eating pop corn on the sofa. Since, besides cinema, I also appreciate stylish dresses, here there are my personal Oscars for the Elegance.

Ladies first: Alicia Vikander's yellow and "pailetted" dress was absolutely gorgeous, while the wonderful Cate Blanchett's one was "brave" and rather floreal.

But the uncontested queen of the evening is the beautiful Charlize Theron and her regal red dress with train.

As far as the men are concerned, I can but point out Eddie Redmayne's "clean" and typically British elegance, Ryan Gosling's white bow tie and, above all, Jared Leto's classy style: his red decorated jacket, the pair of slippers and the unconventional Gucci rose at his neck show he's definitely two steps ahead of all the others.

The 2015 Best Actor, Eddie Redmayne

But now it's time to say something about the real Awards. I must say Chris Pratt's long monologue, mainly focused on the #OscarsSoWhite topic, then partly minimized ("I met at least 15 black people while coming here"), wasn't exactly the most thrilling opening, especially if compared to last year's (did anyone say Neil Patrick Harris?).

Ready, steady, go and Spotlight and The Big Short claimed the statuettes for Best Original Screenplay and Best Adapted Screenplay, respectively. Not too surprising a choice, and certainly the right one.

There's nothing to say about Inside Out being awarded as Best Animated Featured Film, which allowed Pixar to finally scoop up the statuette again after three years empty-handed; 100% deserved.

Then it was time for Mad Max Fury Road merciless solo, since it literally didn't leave a single scrap for the other movies. It raided all the "technical" Awards: that makes six statuettes for Best Film Editing, Best Visual Effects, Best Costume Design, Best Sound Mixing and Sound Editing and Best Production Design. No mercy at all, eh?

There's very little to argue about its victories: winning "technical" prizes means that the movie is the best in those categories. Stop. It's slightly different if compared to the "artistic" Oscars, whose assignments can be discussed and debated for ages.

But hold on a minute: what about the Best Cinematography? Did Mad Max claim this award as well??

Of course the best movie in this category could but be Revenant. Its pictures and shots of British Columbia landscapes covered with snow and of Argentinian most savage empty lands were truly artistic portraits of our world. Absolutely out of any other movie range.

This victory was proof once again of the tremendous ability of Emmanuel Lubezki, a.k.a "El Chivo", someone capable of winning three consecutive Oscars in the same category (Bridman and Gravity are his other two masterpieces).

To be quite honest, there's one last "technical" Award to talk about, the Oscar for Best Visual Effects, which could go only to Star Wars, the "big one" between the left behind. And here we have the first great surprise of the evening: George Lucas' creature lost to Ex Machina, where Alicia Vikander is transformed into a transparent-skin robot which the great Maestro Gianni Canova referred to as "the most erotic creature in the modern science fiction".

When they announced the winner for The Best Original Score, The Hateful Eight soundtrack by our Ennio Morricone, I couldn't keep myself from dropping a couple of tears. Such a touching moment watching the 87 year old Maestro reaching the stage with his son while being honoured by the whole Dolby Theatre with a deafening standing ovation. The acceptance speech was short, but not less moving: he dedicated the Award to his wife and to the legendary Quentin Tarantino, who a few days ago had compared him to Beethoven and Mozart.

We're so proud of you!

Apparently, Alicia Vikander's show wasn't over yet, since she won, as expected, the Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Danish Girl. While announcing her name, it was Eddie Radmayne the one going emotional; but the only lucky guy here was Michael Fassbender, who was kissed warmly by the winner, proving the rumors about their relationship to be well-founded.

And then it was Brie Larson's turn to celebrate for winning the Best Actress thanks to her outstanding performance in Room, "smiting" two far more famous and fierce competitors such as Cate Blanchett and Jennifer Lawrence. First nomination and first victory, 100% accuracy for the actress, just like a practised sniper.

Now a bit of a sore subject: despite having basically already won the Best Supporting Actor for his role in Creed, according to the bookies,  the Academy awarded Mark Rilance, the soviet spy in the last of Spielberg's work. This meant Stallone failed again in winning the statuette after the previous attempts with the Rocky saga. Again, got over the surprise, I have to admit that Rilance didn't steal anything.

Best Film Chapter: fierce battle between the 3 predicted competitors. Will it be the mystical and artistic Revenant, whose talented director had just been awarded for the second time in a row, the pedagogic Spotlight (an investigative report about the pedophilia among priests), or the lively The Big Short (a dramatic comedy about banks collapse and those few mad ones who had predicted it)?
Morgan Freeman announced the winner…Spotlight!!

Well, I believe we can call it a day and end this review. Goodnight to you all!!

….

Come on, did you really think I would leave you now?! We both know, dear reader, why you've been reading this post, we both know what's the main reason for which you watched the Oscars Night, so let's say a few words about this final and most important chapter.

Leonardo DiCaprio won the Best Actor for Revenant!

No surprising turns of events, everyone felt the legendary Leo was about to lift the "heaviest" statuette for the first time after not one or two, but six nominations. After winning the SAG and the Golden Globe in the past three weeks, the Oscar closed the circle. I wonder what will all the Internet meme creators do now.

His last performance was beyond words, something so very great, but at the same time extremely arduous (unless you are used to fording rivers with the very high temperature of -40°C, while wearing a mammoth-ish fur coat and, just to make it more thrilling, while having bronchitis).

Leo thanked everyone and immediately took the chance to underline the importance of preserving our planet and the environment around us. Being he involved in so many social activities and using the acceptance speech time to talk about climate change. This showed this year winner is not only a gifted actor, but also a very intelligent man and a person of stature. After all, if you are allowed to bring any super top model to your special day, but you rather come with your mother, you really have something special.

I absolutely must mention the sweet and affectionate look his beloved friend Kate Winslet gave him while he was finally taking that crown he had deserved to receive more than once.

Awwww! <3

The golden boy showed also some self-irony after the ceremony. While the woman was engraving his name on the statuette, he couldn't keep himself from asking "Do you do this every year?" and then quipping "Sorry, I wouldn't know that!" after her nod. Then he received a booklet for Oscar maintenance and asked for instructions about how he was supposed to do that. You'll better get used to it Leo!

Since I'm feeling blessed by Apollo's gift of prophecy, I'm firmly convinced this won't be DiCaprio's last Oscar, but the only the first one. We'll see with next year's The Crowded Room, the history of Billy Milligan, the man with 27 personalities. Starring, of course, the Academy Award Winner, Leonardo DiCaprio. >>

Cheers!

And that's all folks! I hope you enjoyed reading this long post at least as much as I enjoyed writing it! I put quite an effort to make my friend proud and to give you the best possible post to read, hope it was worth it! :)

But before bringing the curtain down, I'd like to add only one thing. Ale, how come you forgot to talk about the Oscar for the Best Review of the Academy Awards Night? Let me say you won this one, congratulations! :):)

And the Oscar goes to… ;)

I'm Still Alive!!

Cosa fare?

-------------

Yes, I'm still alive! Apparently, I've not been taken down by life and all things related to it yet! :)

And what better way of celebrating this than annoying you with a couple of lines regarding this last bunch of days and all the glorious (oh, please!) endeavours related to them? ;)

So let's start by saying thaaaaat….. nothing interesting enough to deserve a special post happened. Such a boring life this one of mine, isn't it?

The few things occurred lately are almost all Uni-related - which is not surprising at all.

And this because I decided it was time to get serious, at least until June. With all this hard work I really hope to pass the 5 bloody exams that stand between me and my long-desired degree without needing a second try. And possibly with good grades. Not to sound presumptuous eh :)

But to do that I need to start far in advance (time flies quickly) and to sacrifice something else. Any volunteer? "I volunteer as tribute!" -said my social life. Or at least a big part of it.

After all, since the nasty schedule, it's difficult to do better than this. I'm resigned to having busier weekends alongside with the other 5 days of the week. I know it's sad, but there's no alternative. Bah… :(

As far as my classes are concerned, I don't have much to add to what I've already said. I'm very into English and Interpreting, hopefully there might be something useful for my future into these subjects.

A pity I can't say the same about Spanish. Not that I don't like the language, I do, or classes are so terrible it's impossible to follow the lesson. They're just less engaging, so I'd say that my main goal for this one is to do my best to survive till the end, then we'll see.

Chapter 1: Thesis.
Not a very happy one, since my first choice as supervisor kindly refused to help me and the second one basically not very kindly ignored my request. Hey, you can take your time to answer me. It's me the one who can't get that bloody degree without thesis, so don't worry too much, you have absolutely nothing to lose :(.

Chapter 2: Future.
A lot of plans, ideas, dreams, but still nothing 100% sure. What should I do? Should I look for a master here in Italy right after my 3-years degree? Or should I try my luck and move abroad for a while to improve my still basic and academic level of English? Or maybe picking a master in Denmark/Sweden/...? I honestly don't know what to do. I need my time to do the right choice, since it's me and my future we're talking about.

Apparently, I'm not so good at planning and organizing things as I thought I was ;)

Who knows, anything can happen...

For now let's find the right balance to be able to deal with everything in the best way possible, without neglecting things such as friends and myself and, a key point, health. I know by past experience what stress for trying to do too many things at once brings.

Good, this very short updating post is finished, together with my time away from books (nice way to rest, isn't it? ;) )

Wow, I managed to write this one more quickly than I thought! (do not throw stones at me for the incredible amount of mistakes I'm sure I made, I was tired while writing -excuse ;-) ).

I take the chance of this post to say again how happy I am for the great news my friend Bethany has recently received. You deserved that opportunity for you've worked so hard and you've put in so much effort. I REALLY hope it'll be something exceptionally wonderful and any single moment there to be amazing!! :)

If A Good Beginning Makes A Good Ending, I'm Definitely Going to Enjoy This Last Semester :)

----------

Having successfully gone through this first week of Semester Two, I can but write a post to celebrate my comeback to Uni after so much time :):).

As I said plenty of times -I believe-, I was counting days: I couldn't wait anymore! And I'm happy to notice I still have at least 95% of that positivity inside me now, just before Week Two begins :). I really hope it will last until May-June, because the term is long and I desperately need it to survive through it!

Of course, I need to be realist as well: I know there'll be difficult moments (and I'm pretty sure I already know exactly which courses they'll be related to), but that's when I have to keep going forward, believing in myself because this is the right pattern for me to follow. And, honestly, it'd be really stupid -to say the very least!- quitting now that I'm so close to the end of the race. So I'm asking this to all of you who know me: when these difficulties come to stand me and my moaning, please, reminding me these words of mine! Thanks a lot in advance! :):)

To sum up, I'm ready to work a lot and to enjoy it! Yay!!

Anyway, my courses. I LOVE ENGLISH (no prizes for guessing that ;) ). And this even though one of the two teachers was absent due to some personal reasons.

What I can say is that the new teacher, Mrs Davies, has quickly gained points, personally speaking. Of course, she's a native speaker from England -would have gone crazy with any different option-, she's also so practical, but without being cold: she tries her best to listen as many people possible (not easy with 70 students) making good corrections where necessary, at the same time encouraging us to constantly improve our level. I couldn't ask for anything more. Thanks God, we've been lucky with her:

So, yeah… I think it's pretty noticeable how happy I am of having her for this semester :).

I'll have to work a lot, but I expect nothing less, since I'm fully aware mastering a language is no easy task at all and without hard work and constant practice, everyone would be unlikely to succeed.

And, as university students, we're expected to work hard, aren't we?

She's going to give us readings to prepare and to reflect upon. Not to mention the other assignment: we're asked to choose any topic we like, research about it and organize a kind of presentation for the lesson. Both of them on a weekly base.

She wants us to make the most of what we do at home, in terms of acquiring new vocabulary and fluency. After all, we're supposed to reach C2 level by the end of the semester (disagree on this point, but that's another story. Ask me if interested ;) ).

Back on our assignments, I rather enjoyed preparing my topic (despite the considerable effort and amount of time required). Surfing the net, I casually bumped into an article, extremely interesting indeed, related to the difficulties that all the apps for quick translation come to face when dealing with regional dialects, which of course differ a lot from the main language.

Of course, the dialect analyzed was somehow related to Britain -you know I'm in love with that part of the world-. I'm talking about…SCOUSE!!!

Considering how much time I spend on the web listening to how the different accents sounds like (but don't ask me to imitate them, I'd end up embarrassing myself too much!!), I couldn't be more lucky! I had managed to find something I'd love to work on pretty quickly!!

For those of you who don't know it, Scouse is the language (it's more than a simple dialect) spoken in Liverpool.

I'm telling you, don't think knowing English can be of much use when at the time of having a face-to-face conversation with a Liverpudlian. Forget about it!

If you don't believe me, on YT you can find some audios that'll change your mind (for football lovers, do you know Steven Gerrard, right? Try and listen to the way he speaks).

Anyway, I had the great idea of researching for some basic Scouse phonetics, just to become more familiar with it -I know it'd be pointless, but I needed a proper way to spend my time.

I think the word "dangerous" fits quite
well when speaking of (attempting at)
studying Scouse ;)

And I somehow enjoyed it -more or less.

Briefly, most of the other courses have pretty much the same structure and teachers as last year, the main difference is related, as expected, to the difficulty of the subject.

Spare me the pain, I don't want to talk about the practice part of Interpreting Eng.-Ita. I just say I'm curious about the new teacher for the other half of the course. Ok, maybe it's still to soon to judge her, but the first impression is rather positive, so hopefully, I'm being lucky also here!

I hope they'll spend as much time as possible teaching us how to deal with the multiple situations an interpreter can find himself/ herself working in: conference, negotiation, chuchotage, etc… If this is the schedule, I'm really looking forward to it!

The "worst", I'm keeping it for the last part. Spanish. What I like: I already know the teachers and their methods. What I don't like: guess what? The method. Apparently, we'll be asked to memorize thousands of idiomatic expressions (most of them archaic, or of ancient origin and use!) and stuff like that. I am not likely to change my mind with regards to the fact that this is not the proper way of teaching a language. Not to mention it's going to be useless, since the incredibly short amount of time our minds will need to forget everything learned this way.

1, 2,…3! Et voilà, nothing's left!

And this is a shame. At this point, I don't care of the mark I'll get in the exam (not to show off, but memorising things is something I've always been good at). I'd rather "score" an 18 and having treasured a lot of useful stuff than getting a 30 (28 in my case with Spanish exams ;) ) but being left with almost nothing.

Anyway, we'll see about that.

Great! These were my first feelings about this Semester Two that, just to make it clear, has begun in a good way. Hope it'll be the same till its end though!! :)

I'll have more than enough time to re-introduce this topic together with some new stuff - hey, I have a thesis to write and a post-graduation future to plan!!!

Yes, these are going to be some reaaaally intense months! :)

New Year: Chapter One!

E ho pure ripreso bello convinto a studiare Tedesco.

Perché, a quanto pare, entro fine anno DOVREI laurearmi.

PS Buon Compleanno Mamma!!!

--------------

Yes, I'm still alive. A month has passed and I'm finally back here to write some random things about me and my life, just to inaugurate this 2016. But let's finish with small talk, otherwise I'll be inaugurating this new year in 2017.

This one is going to be quite a short post because I honestly don't have a lot to say. Lately, I've not been in the mood for writing, nor have I had time.

Since that last post back on the 24th of December, when I was still under the effects of the post-Spain euphoria, nothing special has occurred. As always, January is a kind of weird month, often newsless.

In my case, January has been above all a month of relax: not having any exam left to do, I spared myself a considerable amount of stress and tension I honestly don't know how I could handle. Geez, I'm human after all and I'm well aware of my limits, so working more during summer to finish everything was the right thing to do, painful but right :):).

Being free, I've been focusing on getting ready for my comeback at Uni here in Treviso after so much time (last time in Sept, for the Literature exam, for which I have some good memories despite not appreciating that subject too much :) ).

But let's follow the order and rewind time for a second. Ok, now we're again in 2015: following the tradition, I spent Christmas Eve having dinner with father's family and the day after I took part in the Christmas lunch with mother and grandma. Basically, it's all about eating ;);).

I managed to digest everything just on time for the New Year's dinner at Giacomo's. I had a great time there, not doing anything special, just enjoying the company (besides another friend of ours, there was also Jack's girlfriend, Theresa, who'd came to visit him from Denmark. She's a lovely girl, I'm happy to have known her :):) ) and then, when it came the time, seeing the fireworks.

As I said before, this 2016 has started in a very "peaceful" way. I've been spending quite a lot of time, if we consider my standards, doing shopping trying to get the best from the sales. Of course, sales or not, if I hadn't had some cash saved, being a "shopping maniac" would ave been useless :).

I also bought a couple of new rugs that, I believe, suits perfectly with me and with my bedroom :). And I succeeded in decorating my wall with the Spanish flag, one of the memories of the beautiful Zaragoza :):).

I finally went back studying German. Gosh, how difficult it is!!! I can't quite explain myself how such long and unpronounceable words are allowed to exist!!!! ;)

But I'm really enjoying it and I feel that, hopefully and very slowly, I can get somewhere with this thing. Reaching a good level would be such an amazing achievement for me and my self-confidence :).

Speaking of studies, I'm finally back to Uni on Monday!! I can't wait!!

Just in case you were wondering, I'm not crazy. My mind is still working well. I just am so excited about having classes again (oh my God, where the hell do these words come out from??). And of course I'm happy to see my classmates again :).

I'm curious about the new English classes (new teachers, touch wood!) and the Interpreting ones. I hope my positive expectations not to be failed!

I'm also going to begin thinking about the dissertation shortly. And that's where I'm disappointed with my Uni, but let's avoid talking about this for now. What's important is that this means I'm really close to getting my degree and reaching the end of this 3 years journey.

Gosh, it's already been three years!! How is it physically possible? Where the hell has all that time gone?? Wow…

Bah, for now, let's make the most of these last days away from pressure, then we're going to deal with all that is coming (whether good or bad, both related to Uni and to life in general).

Oh, yes: I should be taking part this year as well to the beautiful Carnival in Venice. As always, it's going to be a unique and wonderful show, weather permitting, and I'm sure I'll manage to take a lot of good pictures. I can't wait!! :).

And that is all, ladies and gentlemen. The summary of this last month ends here.

Wow! I even managed to contain the chatty me!! I'm getting so good at it that soon people will not have to fear me anymore ;);).

PS HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM!!

It Ends Where It Had Begun!

BUON  NATALE!!!

------------

I know, this post comes out with some delay, considering I came back more than a week ago, but my phone had literally abandoned me (thanks a lot, I have basically been unable to communicate for 5 days!); moreover, I had some business to deal with. But it doesn't matter, since now I'm publishing this one, the post that brings the curtain down on the Spanish adventure!

Wednesday the 16th of december saw me finally coming back to Italy, 93 days after saying goodbye to everyone and leaving for this amazing experience.

Time flies, doesn't it?

As you can imagine, I was filled with excitement before both these departures. And this is even a bit reductive, I was literally over the moon!! :)

As expected, I had no problems with the flights, even if I'd lie if I said I wasn't a bit worried. I think it's perfectly understandable, considering what happened a month ago.

Dad was waiting for me at Bergamo airport. Of course I couldn't wait to see him and I was ready for the predictable round of questions he'd ask me. But I was very happy to answer them all and to talk with him in general :).

I was surprised by how much I still had to tell him despite all those Skype calls to keep him up to date! Guess it was just my chatty nature who had to emerge and to play its role! ;);)

Another thing that surprised me was the weather. I was ready to face the Italian winter I love so much (that fresh air makes me feel so awake and alive!), but it turned out I was maybe a LITTLE bit too much dressed and I was boiling in my own clothes!
The overdressing idea was to have a lighter case and to protect myself from the feared Italian cold weather. A pity my plan was only a half success: the weather, despite having been cold all the previous days (and the following!!!), decided to trick me and to be warmer than normal. Yay!!!

Being a good Italian, as planned, the first dinner was pizza-based. Yes, no more Spanish "Pixa"!!!! ;)

The day after the journey finally came to its true end, at mother's house, where everything had begun three months before. I don't even need to say I got the best and warmest welcome of all times :):).

Carrying those, myself and a just received Christmas
card silently to prevent mother from opening
the door and thus ruining my photo
 was quite a challenge ;)

I think living far from home for quite some time was 100% worth it just for what I received and what I felt when I came back :):).

Just after walking past the door, I realized that what I had been missing the most of my home while being in Spain were its colours and the idea of life they give everyone who enters there. So far, I've never seen a house as "alive" as mine, and that's thanks to mum, who managed to transmit her lively nature and her energy to walls, rooms and furniture :):).

As I've already said plenty of times, I don't have any regrets: had I the chance to rewind time and re-live these three months, I'd make the same choices, no doubts about this. Living abroad and far from home helped me to understand I don't want this to be the last time: I have an even stronger will to go on and see as many things as I can.

Visiting new places, learning a lot about other cultures and ways of living and thus putting myself to the test and then, when the "journey" comes to an end, remembering everything: that's what I want to feel again and again in the future. I'm sure that treasuring all these experiences will help me becoming a better and more complete person :).

Now the part most of you like the most (sarcasm ;) ) in which I bore you thanking lots of people for their role in this Spanish thing: apologies, but I won't be happy until I do this, because I'm strongly convinced that at least 95% of the credit for my happiness and everything good that happened in the past three months belongs to these people.

First, my two mates in the flat 6F: Matteo and Andrea, you two were definitely the best people I could ask for. I really enjoyed our time in that flat, the jokes, the atmosphere we created and everything else. Thank you :).

Elena, Greta, Sara e Giada, then, have all my gratitude for all the time spent together. Thanks to you, I managed to do things I'd never done before and I had a lot of fun. So much laughing, so much "stupidity":):). Thank you! :)

Thanks also to Chiara (even if she forced me to watch X-Factor every single Thursday ;) ), Cattu, Silvia, Martina, Vania, Alessia, Bea and Deba and all the others :):). You've been the best company for this adventure!! :)

Special thanks go to those people who had to deal with my feelings of homesick and put in so much effort to support me during the bad moments. I want you to know this: you're the ones I'm most grateful to, because I know dealing with me in bad mood isn't…well, it's not easy. And yet, I can guarantee you succeeded, despite being thousands of km far from me. Family, Nick, Sx, Jack, the two Alessios, Bethany… Thanks for being incredibly wonderful and special people :):).

Of course, Zaragoza deserves to be thanked as well. A lovely city, full of life (and wind!!), I was so lucky to call "home". I'm going to go back in the future, cause I've left a part of my heart there. Only, I probably won't go there as a student, but as a tourist ;);).

Now we can turn this page, go on with the reading and think about what's yet to come (not to forget I'm 5 exams [and a thesis!] away from graduating and thus adding another chapter to the story of my journey!!) with positiveness and a smiley face! :)

HASTA PRONTO ESPAÑA!

PS I'm really late with this post, tomorrow it's the 25th of december, which means I take the chance to wish everyone all the best for the New Year and always :).

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

The Very Last Day!

Come mi sento?

L'appartamento era molto bello, spazioso e luminoso: ci siamo trovati davvero bene!

Perció, aspettatemi tutti, che sto arrivando!!!!!! :)

-------
Oh yes, it's true: today is the last day!

Tomorrow morning, after dealing with the houselord for a couple of things (quickly, I hope), we'll be officially leaving!

Our plane leaves at 13.10, but you know I like doing things far in advance (maybe too much far): that's why I'm going to try to reach the airport at 10.15 (10.45 would be ok the same, but it's too late for me :-P ).

Hey, what's the problem? It's only 2.55 hours before time! Remember that when I left Italy, I happened to reach the airport 4 hours before (more or less)! This means I'm working on my insanity! ;);)

Apart from jokes, I know that this might appear a bit too much, but this is my way of doing things: before is better, you never know what might happens meanwhile. Moreover, I don't see the point in wandering throughout the city together with 2 (heavy!) cases.

Right, cases. I spent almost the whole morning dealing with them. And I'm worried: I don't know if I'll manage to put everything in them. This despite giving some rope to the mother when she came to visit me (she could have taken more, but apparently she prefers seeing me struggling to find a solution. And she dared asking me to buy something!! Thank you mum... ;)  ).

I guess we'll see tomorrow, when, consumed by anxiety, I'll be trying to close them for the last time.

Today is also the day in which we're supposed to clean everything.

Of course we can't leave the house in a bad state, with dust on the floor and on the forniture. Even if, according to our houselord's words ('it must be in the same conditions it was when you first entered'), we technically could do that. But I'd like to avoid any risk, so we'll clean ;);).

Apologies, but, as always, I need to put also some reflections in my posts to be happy and in peace with myself :).

How am I feeling? Great! I couldn't be more happy! I really can't wait to be back home, since that I don't have anything more to do here. My adventure has come to an end by now, so it's time to leave.

Reading these last lines, it might seem I have not enjoyed this experience at all, but believe me when I say it's exactly the opposite. I fell in love with Zaragoza, it's a lovely city with much to offer. I'm happy to having called it 'home' during the past 3 months.

I really had fun at University and I'll miss it a lot!

Our flat was perfect: big and well lighted. We couldn't ask for better one!

I also had a great time with my mates and I think we're going home after creating a strong bond between us. Personally speaking, I'm glad of having shared this permancence with some of them!

See? No regrets, no reasons for being unhappy, but a strong will of moving forward, of testing myself. A strong will of making good use of what I've learnt, both referring to bare knowledge of notions and to the personal aspect. And, of course, a strong will of seeing everyone again, family, friends, my Treviso, MY PIZZA, ... ;););).

This is why I'm "a bit" more than overexcited :):).

Everyone, wait for me! I'm on my way!!! :):)
