-non preoccupatevi, a breve cominceranno gli esami e mi assenterò di nuovo per un po' ;-) -
Comunque, visto che tipo di settimana é stata l'ultima, mi sembrava d'obbligo documentarla.
Partirò da domenica 1 Maggio e coprirò giusto giusto una settimana, fino alla domenica successiva.
Questa é stata, in primo luogo, l'ultima settimana di lezioni all'università, il che é indubbiamente molto positivo. Prima di tutto, però, domenica é stata una bellissima giornata perché ho finalmente avuto l'occasione di incontrare Bethany, che proprio quel giorno era arrivata a Venezia per una vacanza.
Sono state due orette piacevoli, si é parlato di un po' di tutto e, soprattutto, si é riso tanto tanto :):).
Purtroppo, durante il resto della settimana non ci sono state molte altre occasioni per vederci, ma meglio così di niente.
Tornando all'altro punto fondamentale, giovedì ho finito le lezioni. Dopo un mese e più passato tra recuperi infami e orari assurdi, finalmente abbiamo chiuso. Ammetto che é stato un po' strano, forse perché l'atmosfera da esami ci ha impedito di realizzare che quella era l'ultima volta che ci saremmo visti tutti insieme in classe.
Venerdì, cascasse il mondo, volevo a tutti i costi essere all'aeroporto di Venezia per salutare Bethany. Devo dire che, non avendo lei internet sul telefono, mettersi in contatto è stato un po' un'impresa, ma alla fine ce l'abbiamo fatta. Comunque, su in macchina, corsa folle e arrivo a destinazione sulle 14.30 (immaginate voi il caldo che faceva), un po' prima che facesse il check-in. Facciamo quattro chiacchiere e poi ci salutiamo. Sono molto contento per lei perché, da quanto ho capito, si é divertita moltissimo e non vede l'ora di tornare (anche perché, a suo dire, non é riuscita a vedere neanche la metà delle cose che sperava di visitare) :-).
Non vedo l'ora di rivederla!
Concludiamo con domenica 8 maggio, giorno della grigliata a casa di Andrea. Che dire, é stato pazzesco. Le difficoltà a raggiungere casa sua (a quanto pare, esiste una zona, nei pressi di Chioggia, che risponde al nome di Ca'Lino), culminate con lo smarrimento della retta via nei pressi di Mestre, sono state ampiamente compensate da tutto il resto. Una bella giornata soleggiata, tanta gente e tanto divertimento e, soprattutto, una quantità industriale di cibo ;-). Divertimento assicurato!
Comunque, il tempo dei bagordi é giunto al termine :'-(. Ora, come potete immaginare, mi sono messo d'impegno, o almeno ci sto provando, per prepararmi al meglio per questi benedetti esami.

Oh my God, this is really the second post in two weeks (more or less)! I still can't explain myself how this is possible!! :-)
- don't worry, exams are about to begin and this means I'm going to disappear again soon ;-) -
To tell the truth, I should be studying right now, so naturally I'm writing here. I just couldn't help it, I needed something more than 5 minutes away from books! (Ok, now I'm overdoing it a bit, but it's not that far from reality).
Anyway, since the last one was a really nice week -I think hectic, but in a positive way, is the right word-, I thought I had to jot down a couple of lines about it.
Let's begin from Sunday the 1st of May and go on till the following Sunday.
First of all, that one was the last week of classes at university, which is undoubtedly something good. Ok, I may not seem very happy about that, and the very reason for it is somehow related to the fact I'm still far from calling myself out of the thing. Having exams and a dissertation to write makes it a little bit difficult for me to enjoy the moment, you know.
But hey, time out talking about boring stuff. That Sunday was a brilliant day because I finally had the chance to meet Bethany, who had landed in Venice a few hours before, and therefore to make sure she actually exists and is a real person ;-). Sadly, we managed to do very little, but I was still over the moon for that time with her and her mother.
Oh, I also didn't lose the chance to show them one of my "qualities": the indisputable gift for epic fails I've always had :-). Yes, I succeeded in leading them to a block end right after crossing a bridge to see if there was a nice place to drink something in that direction. Ops!!
And she proved herself to be quite practiced in the art of recording these moments on her camera. I'd never seen such speed in extracting a camera from a bag before, she almost got me unprepared ;-).
We talked a lot and, the more important bit, we laughed a lot. It was lovely!! :-)
- No need for me to mention I almost got lost (again!!) while walking back to the railway station -
By the way, Venice is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, in case you hadn't guessed it :-).

Unfortunately, I didn't have other chances to see her during her permanence, but I was so determined to meet her at the airport before her departure. Going through some communication problems due to her not having internet on the phone and, of course, through the heat of a typical Italian sunny early afternoon was worth it. I'm very happy because she managed to have a great time here, it's what I had hoped. Oh, and she swore to come back soon since, apparently, she hadn't been able to see even half of the things she had planned to visit. I can't wait for it! :-)

Before ending the post, I can but talk about the barbecue we did at Andrea's house on Sunday the 8th. What can I say, it was A-W-E-S-O-M-E!
Of course I struggled a bit more than expected to find his house -damn sense of direction!-, which is located in a small area near Chioggia called Ca'Lino. Yes, apparently there is such a place on this planet.
But, again, it was 100% worth it! So much fun, so much sun and so much food!!!! The perfect day for me :-):-).
