A Tourist Trip to the North Pole!

L'universitá aveva programmato per oggi un giro turistico per le vie della cittá, in modo da permettere ai molti studenti in erasmus di conoscere un po' meglio Zaragoza.

Per quanto mi riguarda, dopo questi primi 10 giorni noto che ormai riesco ad orientarmi abbastanza bene senza bisogno di cartine (ci mancherebbe altro, con tutto quello che abbiamo camminato... :) ).

Tuttavia, oltre a non aver ovviamente girato ogni zona della cittá, non ho mai avuto il tempo di guardarmi intorno con ' l'occhio del turista ', se non in rari casi.

Oggi era l'occasione giusta. E avremo girato la cittá su un bus a due piani, stile londinese! 

Ovviamente, alla domanda " quanti vogliono che venga aperto il tetto dell'autobus? " tutti noi poveri ingenui abbiamo risposto che tutti lo volevamo. Bene, perfetto. Accontentati.

La vista ovviamente é ottima, anche se, per la presenza del vetro, é un po' difficile fare buone foto, soprattutto se si é in tanti. 

E qui entra in gioco il mio acquistone: il selfie stick!! Grazie a quell'aggeggio, sono arrivato quasi a fare il pelo ad alberi e semafori con il cellulare :).

La piccola controindicazione dello stare sopra a tetto scoperto é solo una: il vento. Ora, ci é stato detto che Zaragoza é una cittá estremamente ventosa, soprattutto nei mesi autunnali e invernali (si preannuncia un novembre con temperature e aria illegali). 

Di quanto sia forte e freddo il vento ce ne siamo realmente accorti stamattina. Tra sopra l'autobus e la strada c'era un'escursione termica pazzesca, sembrava di stare in mezzo ai pinguini mentre si facevano foto... (Molto salutare per me che vengo da 2 settimane di tosse e mal di gola cronici...).

Il giro comunque é stato molto bello, alcune zone ed edifici meritano davvero di essere visti con più calma e in maniera piú approfondita, senza contare di un parco ENORME nella zona sud della cittá. Davvero, ci vorrá un sacco di tempo per girarlo tutto.

È una cittá che nell'architettura dimostra di essere estremamente 'multietnica'. Si notano particolari risalenti a certi stili (piuttosto marcata l'influenza dell'architettura italiana ;) ) e altri completamenti diversi, per esempio quelli piú tendenti al classico.

Our University had planned for yesterday a tourist trip around the city, in order to give the chance to the high number or erasmus students to get to know Zaragoza better.

Speaking for myself, these first 10 days have given me quite a good knowledge of the city, so now I can more or less reach all the key areas without using a map (I didn't expect less, seen all that walking ;);) ).

However, besides having a lot of places still to visit, I've never had the chance to tourist around seriously, despite some rare occasions.

Yesterday was the perfect time. And we were supposed to travel on a tourist bus, in perfect London-style!

Of course everyone wanted the roof to be opened. Oh, we poor fools.

The sight was incredible, of course, seen the higher point of view, even if the glass made taking good pictures a bit more difficult.

And here's when my new gadget made his first appearence! Yes, I bought a selfie stick!! Thanks to it, I almost reached the branches of the trees, risking to hit them and to lose my phone :).

The one and only downsize of being on the higher floor of a bus here is the wind. 

We had been told some days ago that Zaragoza is an extremely windy city, above all in autumn and winter (now we're expecting freezing days for those months :(:( ).

We realized that wind here is much more intense than we had thought yesterday. Being on the top of the bus it looked like we were in the middle of the North Pole... I was starting looking for penguins :):) 

That's not exactly the best for me, seen I've not been in good shape and almost voiceless for the last 10 days.

Anyway, the trip was beautiful, some areas and some buildings really deserve to be visited more deeply (a special note is for the ENORMOUS park in the southern part of the city). Really, I'll need so much time to see everything.

This is a quite a 'multiethnical' city. It can be easily understood by analyzing the architecture of its building. So many many styles mixed together.... Wow, it's amazing! Try to imagine seeing a classical façade and, immediately next to it, more modern one, completely different from the previous. I love this kind of things!!

The 'Basilica del Pilar' is one of my favourite sites. Taking pictures from the bridge next to it is the best :):)

I'll try to visit a lot more on my own and I'll add photos a soon as possible :):)
